who i am
Jesse (JL) was an alcoholic, a former drug addict, divorced once, and lost his father to cancer at an early age. He has often battled with thoughts that he would never amount to anything, and has struggled with depression for years. He was sexually abused as a child and had always questioned, "Why me?". Even after all he has been through, he never allowed it to define him and has now found hope and forgiveness. He now has a story to tell and wants to remind anyone who wants to listen that they also have a story to tell.
"No matter what you have gone through and or will go through, as hard as it may be to believe, you are never alone, you do matter, and you do have a purpose. You are loved, and there is always hope and love on the other side of what you're going through."
JL is now inspired and feels called more than ever to tell his story through his music and books. JL has developed a strong faith in God and is looking to combine his faith and his stories of life and trials by mixing blues/country/folk/gospel and good ole-fashioned storytelling into his music.
JL is also a children's book author. He wrote his first children's Christmas book and is working on a second children's book and a romance novel.
